Jazz in the UK is irresistibly changing in the way people perceive it and the young musicians who play it. 'Reawakening' is a searching examination of the resurgence in the scene through the eyes of some of its key proponents.
For them, jazz is not only freedom and power, it is connection and social change. We speak to the rising and current stars of the genre including MOBO award winner Moses Boyd and acclaimed vocalist and BBC Radio 3's Jazz Now presenter, Emma Smith, and try to distil its essence through music and visuals.
