If you have ever been confused by the multitude of intertwining dance music genres, you're not alone!
But help is at hand in the form of an intriguing new interactive dance music site called How The Party Started that charts the history and some of the key artists over the years.
Although it remains currently a work in progress, it already includes over a hundred and fifty artists complete with music and profiles of the likes of David Guetta, Avicii, Calvin Harris and Hardwell.
It is the brainchild of the Leeds SEO PR company Blueclaw who said: "How The Party Started aims to highlight the many genres that helped slingshot EDM into the limelight, the many artists of varying styles that perhaps provided inspiration and the plethora of sounds that culminated in what we hear in EDM today."
As a visual representation is certainly is pretty nifty and its completion will be an impressive feat visually and as a piece of music history.
